A couple of months ago, while I was checking in at the gym, there was this wet girl in her swimming suit yelling at one of the gym employees. The gist of the yelling was the girl didn’t lock up her stuff and someone stole all of it. Which completely sucks. But I couldn’t feel too bad for her. There are signs all over telling you to lock your stuff up. Plus, you know, common sense. And what did she expect the gym employee to do about it?
So yesterday I went to workout with a friend. In the locker room we each opened at least 2 lockers full of stuff. Just there for the taking. I came up with a public service idea. I’m going to print out a bunch of sticky notes saying something like, “If I was a huge jerk, all your stuff would be gone. You’re welcome I’m not. Go buy a $4 lock!!” But then I figured if they aren’t going to lock up their valuables, maybe they wouldn’t pay any notice to my super helpful note. New idea: I’m going to leave this note, “Since you didn’t bother locking up your stuff, you won’t miss the item(s) I have hidden in the gym. Happy Hunting!! P.S. Go buy a lock!!” You’re welcome, gym patrons!!
P.S. I had to delete my one Facebook “fan” for spammy comments. So could one of you “Like” my page? I just need one.
