Warning: cute baby pictures ahead. I might be the only one who wants to see them. But here they are anyway. You can click on any of them to make the photo larger.
Avery turned one last week. I still can’t wrap my head around how fast that happened. Seriously, you guys. Here is the final product of the monthly photos.
I love how this shows how fast she grew some months and smaller changes other months. But, let me tell you. Sometimes doing this each month sucked. Mostly because the loveseat we used was always dirty. Every 12th. Full of folded laundry waiting to be put away.
Then at a certain point, she tried to pull off her stickers.
And just remembering to do them was a problem, too. Confession: there may have been one month where Jeremy and I got into an argument about doing the picture after she was already in her jammies. Not a high point. First few months of sleep deprivation = irrational arguments with your spouse.
And after about 7 months, she would not sit still. We had to get creative to get her to stay put. Here is how we were able to take a couple good pictures for her 12 month shoot.
Maybe for our next baby we will do something different. I saw these cute blocks online today. Or maybe we will go the chalkboard route. I do love me a good chalkboard.
I wanted to share a few pictures from Avery’s birthday party. I was really excited about her cake. I ordered it from the Queen of Cakes bakery. And I was so happy with the outcome!
The cake matched the elephant on her invitations. Adorable! Plus, it was delicious. Yellow cake with cookies & cream filling. Yum!
And a couple pics of the party. Opening her gifts (we got a lot of clothes!), blowing out her candle, and spending time with Auntie Jessie. It was a fun afternoon!
Thanks to everyone who came and celebrated with us. It means so much and we love spending time with family and friends!
