May 5: Publicly profess your love and devotion for one of your blogger friends. What makes them great? Why do you love them? If you don’t have blogger friends, talk about a real-life friend or even a family member.
I have a whole section of this blog where I public profess my love for several blogs. Enjoy. I am trying to keep current with it. I find new blogs all the time that I really like reading. Some of you people are really funny and talented. You should see my Bloglovin’ feed. Pretty long.
I have known Leah (in real life, even) for a long time. I can’t even remember when we first met. Maybe Junior High. Our parents are coworkers. Over the summers they would organize a camping trip. That’s when I first met Leah. She was [a tiny bit] older and cooler. And I had so much fun on those camping trips! A few years after the annual trips started, I started going on Youth Group trips to the Boundary Waters. And they always ended up being on the same weekends. Boo. So Leah and I lost touch for years. I would hear updates through my mom. When she got married, when she moved away to the St Cloud area, when she came back to the Twin Cities. And then when Facebook came along, I was able to [stalk] keep tabs on her myself.
She has a daughter who is about a year older then Avery. So I really loved seeing pictures and status updates because it gave me a bit of a glimpse of what I could expect. Plus her girl is adorable! I think I started reading her blog when I went back to work after maternity leave. I don’t think I even knew she blogged before then. Summertime can be slow at work. I had a lot of time to read post after post. Let me just tell you, I’m so glad I didn’t read her birth story until well after I had Avery. Totally intense and I may have cried a little. You will never doubt mother’s love for her child after reading that. Or her husband’s devotion to her. Good stuff.
Before reading Leah’s blog, I was scared to start one. I didn’t know anyone who blogged and I was a little afraid that people might think it’s weird. But after reading her work, I was inspired to give it a shot. I love the idea of documenting things for Avery and keeping family and friends updated on things that need a little more depth then Facebook.
Sorry if I tot ally creeped you out, Leah! But I do love your blog!
What are you waiting for? Go check it out!
