Happy Monday Friends! This is my first Monday of being a SAHM. But it won’t really feel like it. I’m going to my PT job this afternoon. Which is fine. I went in Thursday for a few hours. I have a feeling I’m going to love everything about this job. Especially the fact that the vending machine stocks Tahitian Treat. I know you are jealous.
Anywhoo, weekend happenings:
Friday was my first full day at home with Avery. We rocked it.
I got an email from one of my favorite bloggers informing me I had won a contest she hosted. A brand new shiny Kindle. I am so excited. I love my Nook, but it is so old. She has definitely served me well. And will be missed. I’m just thrilled I don’t need to dish out money for a new e-reader!
When I realized that a late morning/early afternoon nap wasn’t happening, A and I headed out to Target. I had a Facebook offer for Starbucks (located inside Target). I am usually a Caribou girl, but $1 for an iced coffee or tea? Yeah, I’m not passing that up. I ordered a black iced tea lemonade. Yum. When I went to pay, the lady was all like, “Eh, you got a grande. So you don’t owe anything.” Umm okay. Free iced tea? I’ll take it!
Saturday we went to s few garage sales. We found some summer clothes for Avery and I got a couple of file folders for my new desk.
Avery got in some quality time with her favorite [lawn] squirrel. She is so generous with her kisses. Lawn squirrels, bananas, her unicorn pillow pet. Just not Mommy or Daddy. Punk.
Jeremy wanted to go for a bike ride. I don’t know if I mentioned this before, but he is training for a triathlon later this summer. I know, he’s insane. He headed to Minneapolis to bike around the lakes and Avery and I headed to the bed for nap time. Jeremy ended up taking a nice little spill and came home with a big scrape on his elbow and his face. Bloody and gross. Moral of the story: always choose nap time.
Sunday it rained most of the day. Surprise, surprise. We cleaned a little. Did dome laundry. The folding elves forgot to show up.
At least we have clean clothes now.
I hope you all had a great weekend!
