Another weekend recap, Friends. If you want to read about the debacle that was Friday night, be my guest.
Saturday was nice. We had nothing on the schedule. Hooray! We did a little grocery shopping. Read some books.
Left Lucy alone for a little bit.
Saturday night I met up with some friends I haven’t seen for a long time. Sat in the backyard with some drinks and relaxed. Very lovely.
Avery has a brand new molar looking tooth. And it looks like she has 2 more coming in . So we have eaten a lot of Popsicles. I hope those 2 break through soon. Because she isn’t the nicest kid when teething. And she won’t freaking sleep either.
Sunday started out just like Saturday. Very lazy. I did have some 5k envy after seeing everyone’s pictures on Facebook and Instagram! Who is going to do the Color Run with me next year?! It looked so fun!
Sunday night Jeremy and I headed to St Paul for the Bruno Mars concert. The first in our musical trifecta of awesome. And it was awesome!
Ellie Goulding was the opening act. We saw her when she was in town last December. Even though I only know a couple of her songs, she is really energetic and fun to watch perform.
She was on for about 45 minutes. Then we took some selfies while we waited for the switch.
This was the curtain they put up during the set change. So ’70s.
Then he arrived! Oh man, the concert was good. Bruno and his band brought it. Dancing the whole time. So entertaining. And talented. I love going to concerts that are like big dance parties. I have a feeling that if Bruno Mars was an artist in the ’50s, they would have had to air him from the waist up on TV. Whoa hip thrusting. The girls loved it.
Speaking of girls loving it, I wanted to tell you about my favorite person last night. The girl sitting next to me. Who can only be described as a “superfan.” I’m really bad at guessing people’s ages over 6 years old. But I would say she was 14 or 15. Glasses, braces, scrunchie. I didn’t even know scrunchies still existed. She was basically me at 14. Except she was there with her boyfriend. I was not cool enough to have a boyfriend back then. This girl’s excitement was contagious! She screamed at the top of her lungs every 90 seconds or so. You guys, she even brought a sign. I think this was probably the best day of her life. I’m glad I got to witness it. She just made me smile all night. So awkward. And adorable.
I hope you guys had a great weekend!
