Is it just me, or do Mondays seem to get here extra fast these days? Either way, it was a great weekend over in these parts.
Friday night we took Avery to our favorite park for some family trick or treating.
I’m really surprised she kept the ears on most of the night!
After the kids were done with the trick or treat trail, there was a deejay playing music. Kids dancing = cutest ever.
Saturday was a wash. I was supposed to do the Monster Dash 5k in the morning. But I think I had too much Halloween candy the night before. I wasn’t feeling too great. So “running” a 5k was out. I stayed close to home most of the day. And that night we did our grocery shopping for the week. You know, a wild and crazy Saturday!
Sunday was great. I met up with a couple of friends for brunch at The Buttered Tin in Lowertown.
It tasted just as good as it looks! Plus: I didn’t get lost getting there OR going home. Which is pretty much a miracle. Despite working in St Paul, the city and I do not get along.
When I got home, it was nap time. Is there anything better than napping on a Sunday afternoon? Not much.
Then we went to one of our favorite spots for a walk and to play at the park. The weather was absolutely stunning. A picture perfect fall day. And, sadly, probably our last one of the season.
And since we don’t technically have a yard, we put some leaves in a pile for Avery to play in. She had so much fun!
After our walk, we let Avery lose at the park. She really likes climbing on all the equipment. She even went down the medium slide all by herself. Multiple times! Jeremy said she looked terrified every time, but she did it. And kept coming back for more.
I’m hoping this week flies by. The upcoming weekend is Birthday Weekend! And family pictures! I can’t wait!
I hope you had a great weekend too!
