I got a little sidetracked at the end of Blogtember. So I’m going to smush the last three prompts (plus weekend type things) into one post. Get ready, folks.
Thursday, September 26: Go to a coffee shop. Order a favorite drink. Write about what makes you happy and what makes you sad. Or write about anything you’d like! Bonus points for including a photo from the coffee shop. (I recommend downloading Ommwriter and bringing headphones along!) *if you can’t make it to a coffee shop, at least leave your usual space and write someplace new.
I know you are wondering. It’s a medium pumpkin white mocha. Skim. Delicious.
Here’s the weekend recap part of the post. We really didn’t do too much this weekend. Shopping, mostly. I put out most of our Halloween decorations and I was going to do a pumpkin craft, but it was raining most of the weekend. It’s supposed to be sunny the next few days, so I will get that done and show you guys. I’m excited and I hope it turns out!
I also bought our plane tickets to Phoenix. We are going to visit Jeremy’s dad and his lady friend in December. They are snowbirds and decided not to come back for Christmas this year. I’m excited! I’ve never been to Arizona before. Anything fun we should check out?
Our tickets were a steal. They were about 170 per seat, round trip. With that price, I gladly bought Avery her own seat. Because, honestly, the thought of having to keep her on one of our laps for a three-hour flight? No thanks! I think we will all be happier this way. Have you flown with a toddler? Any awesome tips or tricks for me??
I’m happy we didn’t have much to do this weekend. Next weekend is going to be busy! Wedding reception Friday night, Bloggy Boot Camp all day Saturday, and I’m sure something on Sunday too!
Friday, September 27: An anonymous letter to your Facebook friends. Be as snarky as you’d like. (but don’t include people’s real names.)
I don’t think I have as many complaints about Facebook compared to most. Here’s the trick: if someone annoys you or they constantly post things that get you mad or angry, UNFRIEND THEM! And don’t leave vague comments saying how much people on Facebook piss you off. I can’t stress this enough. YOU HAVE THE POWER!
I have an itchy unfollow finger. With all my social settings. I stopped following a couple of blogs recently because I totally don’t agree with them about important issues. And instead of being a dick telling them how wrong they are, I just stopped reading. Simple.
One of my FB friends linked up to a really hateful article. She was all like, this is the greatest thing ever. I unfriended her so fast. And without regret. I don’t have people like that in my real life, I don’t need people like that in my online life either.
Except for family. You can’t get away from that crazy. I’ve tried.
**not my immediate family. does everybody have a crazy extended family? or is it just me and my friends??**
Monday, September 30: Share a photo of something old. Maybe something that has personal history for you, that was passed down to you, and that has special meaning to you. Tell us about it and why it’s special.
I wrote a little about my dollhouse for the beginning of Blogtember.
My Grandpa Dick made this for me when I was little. You can see there is a little wall. My baby picture is hanging there. The piano’s music box still works and when I hear it, I’m washed away back to my childhood. A bittersweet feeling. This is my favorite thing anyone has made for me ever ever. I am so lucky to still have this.
That’s all for today friends! I hope you were able to stick around for the whole thing!
Have a great week!
