A Celebration of Thanks : Day 4: FAMILY
As I get older, I realize how crazy important my crazy family is to me. Nobody loves you like they do. Nobody supports you like they do. Nobody knows how to push your buttons like they do. That’s family!
My dad had quadruple bypass surgery almost 10 years ago. I can’t believe it has been that long already! I am thankful everyday that he recovered from that scary event. I’m thankful he is such a great Papa to Avery. She loves and adores him just like I do!
I am thankful that we all live so close together that we can see each other whenever we want to. We are always together for holidays and birthdays. I remember that from my childhood too. So many wonderful memories being with family at different holidays.
I am so thankful for my mom. She is always there for us girls. Avery also adores her Gaga. It’s so fun to see them together.
Ah, my sisters. We were pretty awful to each other when we were all living under the same roof. That was for a long stretch of our lives! In this case, absence did make the heart grow fonder. Haha. We have become better friends in the last few years. Now that we all ace like grown ups. Mostly.
Finally, I am so thankful for these two. Making me realize just what I want from this life. Realize who I want to be. I want to show them love and support through everything they do. I want them to know they mean the world to me. I love my people.
