A Celebration of Thanks : Day 5: FRIENDS
Forgive me for the poor quality pictures. I guess when you pull pics from Facebook on your phone, the quality gets halved. By a hundred.
I am very thankful to have the network of friends I do. I say network because it is laid out just like that. One day we sat down and made a friend web. It’s pretty much amazing. And oddly detailed.
The friends I have known since grade school. The friends that have stuck with me since high school. The ones I made in college. The ones that were introduced by old friends. My “mommy” friends. I am so thankful for all of you. More than I can get down in writing. Because I would just sound stupid.
But these two? They are my most special friends.
So this one time, we went canoeing and they managed to tip in 4 inches of water. It was pretty hysterical. Mostly because I was in the other canoe. Dry. Just a fun story.
I can’t even tell you how many times these two have been there for me. Boy drama. Work drama. Family drama. Any random drama. I know they will always make time for me. And would do anything for me. And I feel the same way about them. I tell them everything. Everything everything.
3 am phone calls. Marathon gossiping sessions. Countless e-mails. Endless rounds of cards. Built in vacation buddies. Weekends spent watching movies. Laughing so hard you cry. And almost pee your pants.
I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t have them in my life. I know I would be even more broke. I would for sure have to pay a therapist to listen to my crazy. But these two do it for free! Score.
Best friend seems like a weak way to describe my relationship with them. I want to call them my soul mates, but Jeremy might get upset. My soul sisters? Someone give me a good name for them!
They make my heart happy. Thanks, girls. I love you!
