wonderfully weekend :: on the brain

This weekend was really boring relaxing. Saturday we cleaned. And went grocery shopping. Sunday I met a friend for coffee. The end.

It’s been a while since I’ve done a totally random post. And I have a bunch of stuff swirling on my brain space. Also, I have zero attention span and just jumped on Pinterest for 10 minutes instead of finishing my thought. Oy.

The other night Jeremy went to Target and brought home a potty seat for Avery. I am dreading potty training. I know we should probably try to get this over with before the next baby comes, but oh the horror stories! And she has shown interest in the potty lately. We have even put her on a couple of times so she can see what it’s like. She got a kick out of that. But this Mama is. Not. Ready.

Practicing good table manners. Like chewing with our mouths closed and not posing for pictures with a mouthful of french fries. Clearly we have some work to do.

I’m at a weird place with this pregnancy. I’m in my second trimester, so I’m finally feeling some energy and not sick constantly. But since I can’t feel this little one moving all the time, I keep wondering if there is a baby really in there.

This week I am abandoning my personal Instagram account and posting at the @mnbloggers IG. Come over and follow along. I promise a lot of cute pictures of Avery and LucyCat. And probably whatever I’m having for dessert that night. And then next week I will be back at the old account. I am excited for a fun little mix up.

This is the fortune I got with my Chinese food last week. Can anyone make sense of this? Shouldn’t it say something about how I will come into great wealth soon? Or something similar.

I think they didn’t try hard enough to write a coherent sentence. They just didn’t want it enough. It being understood. We waited until my second was about three months old and we settled into a routine before we did the potty push with our oldest. I don’t know if that was right or not but he was successful. We would have done it sooner but our ped told us that he’d probably regress as soon as she was born. Honestly, I don’t think there is one or two or even three right answers to how to potty train. Good luck!

  2. I’m thinking that fortune is missing a word or two somewhere… maybe? Or I’m just extra slow since I have to work a Monday holiday :)

I was terrified of potty training but it ended up being a total breeze! Good luck when you start!
