Somehow, Valentine’s Day has gotten a bad rap. As a Made up holiday. Which I get. But I love everything about the holiday. I love hearts. And pink. And chocolate. And flowers. And gifts. So if you’re looking for another grumpy about Valentine’s post, look elsewhere!
Friday was ladies night. An accidental Galentine’s celebration. We started the evening with dinner at Eli’s in Northeast. The food was delicious.
We then headed to The Orpheum Theatre to see Newsies! So fun!
I was out way past bedtime! Which would have been fine. Weekend and all. But Callie decided to wake up at 3 am throwing up all over. So that was gross. And being up all night is rough.
I was able to get a little bit of sleep. And then it was off to Beth’s house for her Thirty-One launch party/to drink mimosas! It was nice and relaxed. So fun!
Then back home to get ready for my Valentine’s Date! Jeremy and I have never really done anything extravagant for Valentine’s Day. But we always have fun and give small gifts.
So this year, I bought us tickets to a Valentine’s event at the Minnesota Transportation Museum. They had music, dancing, and chocolate tastings! Plus, a fun excuse to dress up!
It was so cool to explore the museum and take a peek inside the train cars. It has me really wanting to travel somewhere in a sleeper car.
They also set up this adorable table where you could make your own little bouquets.
I loved getting out and doing something out of our norm.
After the museum we headed over to a friend’s house for a going away party. Another late, fun night for me! Thankfully Callie was doing better to allow her parents a fun night out!
Sunday the girls woke up to heart balloons and I woke up to my favorite food.
And my favorite flowers!
And Avery was so excited to get her own flowers.
I had so much socialization the past couple of days, that I did not want to leave the house. Which I didn’t. Woo hoo!
And we still did a heart-shaped pizza for dinner. So a pretty great day.
And now it’s late Sunday night and Avery is now the one sick. Full circle.
I hope you had just as much fun this weekend as I did. But with less vomit.
