This post was created in partnership with the MN Children’s Museum as a part of their ambassador program, however all opinions are my own.
We were sad (and a little bored) when the Children’s Museum closed for remodeling this past winter. We all survived and were rewarded with an amazing, beautiful new space to play and explore.
My favorite spot is The Creativity Jam, specifically the Big White Room. You get to put little colorful stickers wherever you want! It’s so fun.
The piano is just so great. I love every time we come back, everything looks different.
The Creativity Jam also has Avery and Callie’s favorite thing, the face paint. In most of these pictures you can tell they hit up that spot.
Another fun new area is The Studio. I think the girls were drawn to it because of the Target logo. But once inside, they found so many things to explore.
Callie loves playing in the sensory tables. There are usually 3 tubs with corn and different tools for scooping and laying in them.
There’s a spot with materials for putting together circuits. The girls really liked trying to make the light work.
There’s always a table with paper, stamps, ink, scissors, glue, everything your child needs to make their own creations. Avery has so much fun cutting and gluing little projects. And you can take them home when you’re finished.
Did you guys know The Minnesota Children’s Museum had a backyard space? No, I didn’t either. With this remodel they made some beautiful changes to this spot. Plants everywhere and these pieces of wood that are perfect building blocks.
Callie really likes finding things to climb on in The Backyard. As long as she lets me take cute pictures, I’m fine with it.
The last stop on our tour today is Our World. We were really happy to hear this exhibit would be carried over to the new museum. There’s so many different spots to play and use your imagination here.
The Farmer’s Market has different is the cutest spot and I want my husband to build one at our house.
There’s a fire station with a firetruck and everything. The kids love this!
There’s even a working siren. Thankfully it’s pretty quiet.
And we spend a lot of time in the Hardware Store where Callie likes to play with the tools and build me things. She’s very thoughtful.
I could write 20 posts about how much we love coming here and playing. I didn’t even mention half of the new exhibits! You will really have to go and explore yourself!
